この曲が収録されてるアルバムMechanical Animalsは前作Antichrist Superstarから作風を変えて暗かった曲調から一変しポップ要素を取り入れて聴きやすさを増した作品
中でもRock Is Deadは映画マトリックスで使用されるなどキャッチーさで支持を得ており、特にこのアルバムの曲は歌詞の内容が興味深く音楽と歌詞の両方で味わうことが出来るおいしいアルバムとなっています。
Antichrist Superstarでは曲調にマンソンの主義主張が現れすぎていて相当うるさいサウンドが多く人を選ぶと思いますので「とりあえずかっこいい曲を聴かせなさい」というスタンスの人（私も）は是非Mechanical Animalsを選んでRock Is Deadを聴いて痺れてください。
